About Smile Studio 87

  • I have never been to Smile Studio 87. What happens at my first appointment?

When you walk in the door, you’ll be greeted by our front desk, who will walk to your seat to hand you the new patient paperwork. From there, we’ll give you a tour of our office before seating you to chat with our doctor. We’ll go over your needs, concerns, and dental goals. Then we’ll get you on the road towards a healthy and beautiful smile.

  • I have a dental emergency. Can I come in the same day?

Yes, we do accept emergencies. We do our best to accommodate any patient who has dental needs. Call us, and we’ll schedule your visit.

  • What do I need to bring to my dental visits?

You’ll need a form of ID, an insurance card (if you’ll be using insurance), and your method of payment.

  • Do you offer savings plans?

Yes, and our Insurance Coordinator is more than happy to help you choose one that fits your needs.

  • I’m scared of the dentist. What do I do?

We know that most people have a fear of the dentist, so we constantly strive to give patients as comfortable a visit as possible. We offer comfort items as well as various types of sedation. See our Comfort Menu and we’re happy to accommodate whatever needs you have while you’re at our office.

  • Do you take my insurance?

Please call our office to chat with our Insurance Coordinator about all your insurance questions.

  • What options do you have here?

We’ve had amazing results from our 2 teeth whitening methods. If you’re a busy individual, our ZOOM® in-office whitening method is quick, safe, and effective. If you want to maintain a white smile or you enjoy at-home whitening methods, our take-home whitening system is perfect for you. Ask about our “Forever Whitening Club” when you come in for your free consultation.

  • Is there sensitivity after whitening?

There can be sensitivity after in-office whitening. We can alleviate that to some degree by brushing with a desensitizing toothpaste (like Sensodyne) or receiving fluoride before starting your whitening treatment. Sensitivity is less likely while using our at-home teeth whitening methods.

  • Why should I get my teeth whitened at Smile Studio 87?

We always assure that patients are happy with their smile and match the shade that they prefer.

  • What is invisalign? How does it work?

    a. Invisalign helps create healthy bites and straight teeth using clear aligners. These clear aligners are placed on teeth to gently move your teeth to a healthier position.

    b. See our post here to learn more: https://www.smilestudio87.com/what-exactly-is-invisalign-and-how-does-it-work/

  • Am I eligible?

The best way to know if you are eligible is to see the dentist. We will do a consultation, find out what your needs are, and see if clear aligner therapy through Invisalign is the best form of treatment for you.

  • How do you get the shape of my teeth? What is the procedure?

We get the shape of your teeth with our iTero Digital Scanner. You don’t need to sit with goop in your mouth in order for us to get impressions of our teeth! After the scan, it is sent to Invisalign to create your clear aligners.

  • Does it hurt?

Some patients report some soreness when they start using a new aligner, but it goes away without much time passing.

  • How long will treatment take?

Treatment time is a case by case basis. On average, treatment lasts around 1 and a half years. If you’d like the treatment to be completed soon, we do offer accelerated Invisalign. Ask our staff about it when to come in.

  • Will it impede my speech?

In the short term, a patient may experience a lisp. This will go away in a short time. Other than that, Invisalign does not impede your speech.

  • How do I eat and drink?

All you need to do to eat and drink is take your clear aligners out, eat, rinse, and pop your aligners back in!

  • What can I not eat?

The great thing about Invisalign’s clear aligners is that you can still eat whatever you like. We do not recommend eating with your aligners in; otherwise, they may become stained or break.

  • Can I drink alcohol?

We do not recommend drinking alcohol with your aligners in.

  • What happens if I lose or break it?

If you lose or break an aligner, our recommendation is to call our office as soon as you can. Depending on where you are in your treatment, you may be able to use your last aligner or start the next one. Give us a call in order to see what your next step is.

  • Why should I get Invisalign at Smile Studio 87?

We have been a Invisalign provider ever since we opened our office, and we are a Gold Plus Invisalign Provider. Our goal is to make sure you have a smooth treatment process and love your new smile at the end of treatment.
